Sixers Open Summer League Play On July 5
The NBA Draft has concluded and free agency begins on June 30, which means that Summer League basketball is inching closer. The Sixers will play four games before the tournament begins on Saturday, July 13.
Philadelphia opens up against the Bucks before taking on Romeo Langford, Grant Williams, Carsen Edwards and the Boston Celtics. After facing Darius Bazley and the Thunder on July 8, The Sixers conclude the four-game slate against No. 15 pick Sekou Doumbouya, Jordan Bone (picked by the Sixers then traded) and the Detroit Pistons.
The Sixers Summer League team will likely include 2019 draft picks Matisse Thybulle and Marial Shayok along with Terry Harris and Christ Koumadje. Expect Zhaire Smith, Shake Milton, Haywood Highsmith and perhaps even Jonah Bolden to get minutes for the Summer Sixers.
Summer League Games will take place at the Cox Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The consolation bracket and quarterfinals will start on July 13, the semifinals will be on the 14th and the Summer League Championship game will be played on Monday, July 15 at 9:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.
