The Sixers have waived point guard Tim Fraizer in order to claim forward Thomas Robinson off waivers.

Robinson, the former fifth overall pick in the 2012 draft, was signed by the 76ers to get within 90 percent of the NBA's salary floor.

Robinson is a 23 year old, who at 6-10, could find himself in the starting lineup at the center spot with his only competition for minutes being JaVale McGee and Henry Sims.

Robinson is an interesting prospect, the former fifth overall pick, is now on his fourth NBA team since 2012.  He really hasn't had a chance to play extended minutes and has started only four times in his NBA career.
