There are no more moral victories. The Phillies needed to sweep the Braves to keep the momentum going. You would think that was possible with our "ace" Aaron Nola on the mound. He struggled. He struggled big time only throwing five innings and allowing five earned runs. Gabe Kapler didn't help as he made one of the worst managerial mistakes in history of baseball. In the fifth inning, after the Phils tied the game up at two a piece, he thought it would be a great idea for Nola to pitch to Freddie Freeman with first base open and two men on. Of course, Freeman rips two RBIs home instantly. To intentionally walk Freeman in that spot is common sense. The Phillies are running out of time!
