The Phillies win their fourth straight game after beating the Padres 8-4. Bryce Harper hit a three-run home run to blow the game open. Harper now has seven home runs in his last nine games. JT Realmuto continues his hot stretch, recording three hits total. Roman Quinn hit a second deck home run, but he left the game with a groin injury. His career has been filled with missing time. Vince Velasquez hit a wall in the sixth inning, but that is also standard for him. The Phillies are moving up in the wild card standings and have a chance to win five straight for the first time all season with Zach Eflin on the mound in game two of the series.
