The Philadelphia Phillies lost both games in their double header with the Toronto Blue Jays.

In game one, Spencer Howard was cruising 97 mph fastballs past hitters until Joe Girardi took him out after 3 2/3 innings. The bullpen was abysmal from there as Tommy Hunter and Deolis Guerra blew the lead. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a walk off for the Blue Jays.

In game two, the Phillies started out with a 7-0 lead in the first inning, but found a way to lose. Vince Velasquez allowed a two-run home run instantly and once he was pulled the bullpen fell apart. (You've probably heard that before) Connor Brogdon struggled and Hector Neris wasn't able to execute. He was not helped by the defense at all as Scott Kingery and Didi Gregorius made sloppy plays to keep the sixth inning alive.
