The Phillies demolish the Reds in game one by a score of 7-1. They scored all of their runs by the long ball. Rhys Hoskins hit two home runs, Bryce Harper hit his 30th homer of the season, and Scott Kingery hit a two-run shot of his own. Bryce Harper now has 99 RBIs on the season. Drew Smyly recorded eight strikeouts in five and one-third innings. It was a very one sided baseball game and the Phils seemed to have a sense of urgency. Maybe it's because they realize the calendar flipped and it's September?
