The Phillies lose 5-4 to the Pirates and it was not pretty. In the ninth inning, Hector Neris allowed two base runners with one out. There looked to be a routine double play ball to second base and as the ball was thrown towards Rhys Hoskins at first, he missed it. This allowed the Pirates to score the game winning run. The Phillies had plenty of opportunities to take the lead though. In the seventh and eighth inning, they led off with a double and was not able to execute to score the run. Adam Haseley recorded 2 RBIs which was nice to see out of him. Drew Smyly did not have his strongest game either, but that is what to expect at this point. This team never fails to amaze me on how they will lose. They are allergic to being seven games over .500!
