Sports Talk with Brodes: Phillies Lose 4-0 to Start the Second Half!

The Phillies begin the second half of the season with a big series against the Nationals. For some reason, Nick Pivetta got the nod over Aaron Nola. He threw five innings and allowed three earned runs. JT Realmuto did not play because his wife just gave birth to his new born so Andrew Knapp was in the lineup, crushing the depth. The Phils did okay with overall hitting, it was the lack of timely hits that hurt, resulting in zero runs. Maikel Franco had three hits and Bryce Harper had two.
