The Phillies lose to the Giants 5-1 in game two of the series. Every time this team has a "bigger" game, they take steps backwards. What I mean by that is, the Washington Nationals lost to the Braves earlier this afternoon and the Phils had a chance to make some noise in the division, but couldn't execute. Vince Velasquez was solid for five innings, but fell apart in the sixth. The third time through the lineup, opponents are hitting .515 against him which is almost impossible. Adam Morgan was abysmal in relief allowing two home runs after Velasquez was pulled. The Phils essentially laid an egg. What's new?
