Sports Talk with Brodes: Phillies Shutout the Mets 5-0 & Drew Smyly was Strong!
The Phillies shutout the Mets by a score of 5-0. Without Bryce Harper in the lineup due to his hand injury and with Drew Smyly on the mound, the Phils found a way to win the ball game easily. Marcus Stroman had a really tough day at the office and hasn't been anything special since being acquired by the Mets. The top of the lineup for the Phillies were extremely successful. Cesar Hernandez recorded three hits including a solo home run to start the scoring off. JT Realmuto had three hits as well and Corey Dickerson provided two. Together, they combined for five RBIs. Drew Smyly was awesome as he threw seven strong innings.
