The Phillies beat the Pirates in extra innings thanks to Sean Rodriguez! He walked it off with a home run in the bottom of the eleventh inning. This game was very funky to me. Before the game, we find out that Cesar Hernandez will be benched for not running out of the box last game by Gabe Kapler. Hernandez speaks to the media and said it was just a day off so there was miscommunication between the two. In the game, Brad Miller of all people, started the scoring off with a two-run home run. In the eighth inning, down 4-2, Bryce Harper hit a solo home run and Corey Dickerson hit a two-run home run to take the lead. Hector Neris allowed a solo shot and the game was tied. The Phillies had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth with Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper up to win the ball game. Both failed to execute and Hoskins finished the day going 0-5 from the plate. Eventually, Sean Rodriguez saved the day to win the ball game!
