The Phillies Report to Spring Training!

The Philadelphia Phillies have reported to spring training so I thought it would be a great time to share my thoughts on the team.

I am excited about Joe Girardi and he makes me feel way more comfortable when it comes to the atmosphere in the clubhouse compared to other managers here in the past. He already made a statement about being impressed with Nick Pivetta!

Zack Wheeler claims he wants to be in the Cy Young conversation this season. I love the determination, but there is something called Streamer which predicts what his stats will be and it's not pretty. The program guesses he will be 11-10, with a 4.13 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 194 strikeouts, and 53 walks in 31 starts.

Matt Klentak had his press conference and to be honest, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe it helped that Jim Crane and the Houston Astros had such an embarrassing presser about the cheating scandal in the same day.

Because the season is close, yet so far away at the same time, I spent time answering Mailbag questions at the end of the podcast!
