The State of the Game

Mike and Todd discuss the state of football and what it's become now in 2013. What will the game be like in 20-30 years? Mike and Todd wonder if it would even be watchable. The participation numbers in Pop Warner have decreased nearly 10 percent in the last 3 years. Would a sport like soccer eventually overtake it in the United States?

KC Joyner

The Football Scientist called in for a brief look back at all the Week 15 games and a mini preview with the big Eagles Bears game on SNF. Joyner called the Bears run defense "the worst he's seen in years" and believes Shady McCoy can take advantage of that. He also expects the Cowboys to narrowly beat the Redskins in DC on Sunday so a Week 17 matchup to decide the NFC East will happen in two weeks in Dallas. Follow Joyner on Twitter.

Dave Isaac

Our Flyers insider Dave Isaac talks about what the Flyers have been doing recently. They just took 3 out of a possible 4 points from Washington, a division rival, and currently sit at 1 point out of the playoffs for the Eastern Conference. Brayden Schenn took a devastating hit last night and will most likely skate tomorrow night against Columbus. He was not tested for a concussion. Isaac also talks about the great job the Sean Couturier line has done on both sides of the ice recently. Follow Isaac on Twitter.

Sheil Kapadia

Going over the All-22 film of the Eagles game against the Vikings in this segment. Kapadia said that the way Minnesota played defense, it wasnt unlike any scheme they've seen all year in trying to defend LeSean McCoy. The Eagles defense played too much zone in the first half and in the second half Viking WR were beating corners on one-on-one man coverage. Matt Cassel was able to carve up any type of defense beating the Eagles on big plays down the field. Read more of Kapadia at Birds/24-7.
