It was recently announced by the Diocese of Camden that Willwood Catholic would be re-opening this fall, as Wildwood Catholic Academy.

The news that day for St. Joe's of Hammonton wasn't as good.

However, the news at St. Joe's seems to be better today - they will remain open.

According to social media account @StJoeGottaBelieve the new St. Joseph Academy will have registrations for the fall, starting Wednesday July 1st from 6-8pm.

That tweet was retweeted by the teams basketball teams account.

The Diocese of Camden announced on April 17 that it would close five area schools, including St. Joe's high school, elementary school and Wildwood Catholic.

From a sports perspective both Wildwood Catholic and St. Joe's have strong basketball programs currently.  Meanwhile St. Joe's football team is one of the premier programs in the state, with 20 state titles.
