The good news for the Philadelphia Eagles is that they have 10 days off between games, which allows some of their starters to heal up. The team played Thursday Night Football without three of their starters.

The bad news is the Eagles have 10 days to stew on their first two-game losing streak since December 2023. Now the team has to travel to Minnesota this Sunday to play a Vikings team that has allowed the fifth-fewest points in the NFL this season (19.4 PPGA).

The Vikings are also benefiting from time off to recover from injuries with their Bye Week. Minnesota is hoping to have Linebacker Blake Cashman return from his Hamstring Injury this Sunday. But the real injury question swirling around Minnesota is at the Quarterback position.

Starting QB JJ McCarthy sustained a High Ankle Sprain on September 14th and has not played in the last 3 games for the Vikings. Head Coach Kevin O'Connell has leaned on former Eagles QB Carson Wentz, who has led Minnesota to a 2-1 record without McCarthy.

McCarthy has been a Limited Participant at practice this week, which leaves the door open for Wentz to get the start against the team that drafted him second overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.  The 33-year-old Quarterback has Five Touchdowns and Two Interceptions with 759 Passing Yards in his three starts for the Vikings.

The Eagles Welcome Back Starters From Injuries For NFL Week Seven

Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell left Philadelphia's Thursday Night Football loss to the Giants with a Hamstring Injury. But he was a Full Participant at practice this week, which is great news for an Eagles defense that has to face a Vikings offense featuring Justin Jefferson, one of the best Wide Receivers in the NFL. Mitchell will start this Sunday for Philadelphia.

After not playing on Thursday Night Football with a Heel Injury, Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter was a Limited Participant at Wednesday and Thursday Practices. The 24-year-old Pro Bowl Selection had been dealing with a lingering Shoulder Issue in recent weeks. Carter is listed as Questionable for Sunday's game after he was Limited Participant at Friday's Practice.

The Eagles Pro Bowl Left Guard Landon Dickerson left Philadelphia's loss to the Denver Broncos on October 5th with an Ankle Injury. After having several days off, the 27-year-old Offensive Lineman returned to practice this week as a Limited Participant on Wednesday and Thursday but was Full Participant on Friday. Dickerson is listed as Questionable for Sunday's game in Minnesota but is on track to start.

Backup Tight End Grant Calcaterra will miss his second game this season after not practicing at all this week. In his fourth season in Philadelphia, Calcaterra has been dealing with an Oblique Injury that has kept him out of practice the last two weeks.

On Friday, Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell announced that Carson Wentz will start at Quarterback and Max Brosmer will serve as Backup QB. JJ McCarthy is listed as Questionable but is not expected to be available except in an emergency situation.

Minnesota's Best Pass Rusher, Andrew Van Ginkel, has been ruled out for this Sunday's game versus the Eagles. Van Ginkel will miss his fourth game of the 2025 season as he is dealing with a Neck Injury, even though he was a Limited Participant at practice this week.

Linebacker Blake Cashman is listed as Questionable for Sunday's game with a Hamstring Issue but Head Coach Kevin O'Connell says they expect him to return to the field on Sunday. He still needs to be activated in the next 24 hours from Injured Reserve and added to the Active Roster, so the Vikings will need to make some roster moves before Sunday's game.

With Starting Center Ryan Kelly on Injured Reserve and Reserve Interior Lineman Michael Jurgens listed as Questionable for Sunday's game (Hamstring Injury), backup Right Guard Blake Brandel will start at Center for the Vikings.

One player who has started every game for the Eagles this season is Linebacker Jihaad Campbell. The South Jersey Football Alumni is a member of this exclusive football players from New Jersey who has played games for the Philadelphia Eagles:
