One day after opening the preseason with a convincing win, the Flyers were dominated in a four-goal third period by the Montreal Canadiens in a 5-0 loss on Monday night.

A night of crooked numbers, as a five-goal second period extends the Flyers losing streak to eight games in a 9-3 loss to the Canadiens.

The Flyers will put the finishing touches on a seven-game homestand when they face off against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

For the sixth time in the last seven games, the Flyers were on the losing end with a 5-2 defeat to the Montreal Canadiens at Wells Fargo Center.

Like the Flyers, the Montreal Canadiens come into Thursday's game with losses in six straight games.

Just over 24 hours after completing a 3-1 loss in Carolina to close out a two-game trip, the Flyers go from facing two of the top three teams in the league to the league's worst team, the Montreal Canadiens. 

The Flyers and Canadiens meet for the first time since the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday night, as the Flyers go for a fourth straight win.

Despite the ongoing pause due to the pandemic, voting is underway for NHL awards and the Flyers are sure to be represented with candidates in a handful of categories. 

Over at ESPN.com, Greg Wyshynski posed the biggest question for each of the 24 teams in the playoffs. The Flyers one is quite intriguing. Are these games following the pause, to be played in neutral hub cities, away games for Carter Hart?
