In what has been a historically bad season for the Philadelphia Eagles, more history was made Sunday. The Eagles lost to the Browns for the first time since 1994.
The Philadelphia Eagles have not met the expectations they and their fan base had going into the 2020 season. They finished the first half with a 3-4-1 record. However, that is good enough to sit alone in first place in the NFC East.
The Philadelphia Eagles found a way to sneak out of Lincoln Financial Field with a victory thanks to Carson Wentz and the offense. They were down 21-10 with 6 minutes left in the game and Wentz led the team on back-to-back drives to take the lead. His most noticeable throw was to Boston Scott down the sideline for the game-winning touchdown and let me tell you, this throw was ELITE. This was coming after a Jason Kelce facemask which brought the Eagles away from the goal-line and you could argue it was a blessing in disguise based off of their redzone numbers. Doug Pederson had so many head-scratching plays, I don't even know where to begin.
The Eagles (1-4-1) return to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Giants (1-5) in a prime-time matchup.
Both teams are decimated offensively, but the Eagles have enough at the skill positions to sustain drives and score points. The vaunted Eagles' pass-rush will be the great equalizer here, as the Giants currently field among the league's worst offensive lines...
The Philadelphia Eagles dug themselves a big hole trailing the Baltimore Ravens by as many as 18 points. A failed two-point conversion attempt with less than two minutes to go ended the scoring. Their comeback bid fell short losing to the Ravens 30-28.
The Eagles started fast and jumped out to a 17 point lead before giving up 27 unanswered points the rest of the game to lose 27-17. The 17-point blown lead is the fifth largest lead the Eagles have lost in franchise history.
The Philadelphia Eagles will open their season in less than a week. In some ways this season is like every other one.
