The reports surfaced earlier today that the Texans had interest in trading for Eagles’ third-string quarterback Matt Barkley, before trading for Ryan Mallett with New England. Reports indicate the Texans were offering a conditional 6th or 7th round pick, which appears was not enough to pry Barkley away from the Eagles. Clearly the Eagles seem to be more committed to Matt Barkley, then we originally thought.
