Free agent defensive tackle and Philadelphia Eagles free agent Tim Jernigan has agreed to join the Houston Texans, with a one-year, $3.75 million contract, reports Aaron Wilson from the Houston Chronicle.

Jernigan played in 10 games for Philadelphia last season and recorded 10 tackles with two quarterback sacks.

The 295-pound Jernigan joined the Eagles before the 2017 Super Bowl season in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. The Eagles gave him a four-year, $48 million extension through 2021, but injuries forced the deal out of that deal.

"The injuries derailed Tim, and they didn't have a role for him here," said 973espn.com's John McMullen during today's Football at Four.

He was signed by the Eagles on a one-year deal before last season, and ow ends up with the Texans.
