Veteran guard Reggie Jackson plans to join Sixers
The Philadelphia Sixers will introduce Paul George around 1 p.m. today at a press conference.
Now he will have a familiar face to play with when he gets to Philly.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the team is set to sign former former Clippers teammate Reggie Jackson, who spent after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Hornets.
Jackson was traded to LA during the 2019-20 season and played with the Clippers until he was traded to Denver during the 2022-23 season. He won a NBA title playing for the Nuggets and averaged 10.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game in 2023-24 for Denver.
With Philadelphia, he provides a playoff tested reserve guard that adds more depth behind starter Tyrese Maxey, veterans Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon and rookie Jared McCain.
Jackson was a solid backup for Denver's Jamal Murray, hitting on 35.9% of his 3-point shots last season.
Overall in 13 NBA seasons, Jackson has averaged 12.6 points per game, hitting .34.5% of his 3-pointers and dishing out 4.2 assists in 853 career games.
The Nuggets recently sent Jackson to Charlotte along with three future second-round picks in a deal that involved Philadelphia sending Buddy Hield to Golden State.
