I wasn’t playing strict attention to the game, since we were hosting about 20 family members for a pre-Christmas party. Merriment – and tequila shots – were abundant. Ho, Ho, Ho.

  2. Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner (10 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss).
  3. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (132 rushing yards and a TD).

Barkley broke three tackles and carried three more for extra yardage during a 48-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Eagles’ worst play

Will Shipley put the Eagles in an early hole by fumbling on the opening kickoff. The Commanders recovered and took a 3-0 lead on Jake Moody’s 24-yard field goal.

Turning point

The Eagles took advantage of four Commanders penalties during an 83-yard drive that ended with quarterback Jalen Hurts’ 15-yard TD pass to Dallas Goedert that put them ahead 14-10 in the third quarter.
