Weinberg: Peters Wants To Come Back To The Eagles
Eagles Left Tackle on Tuesday Night was named a selection to the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl after a season in which he has look rejuvenated under first year Head Coach Doug Pederson. Peters has now been selected to the Pro Bowl roster nine times and named an NFL All-Pro twice in his career.
Press of Atlantic City Eagles Beat Writer Dave Weinberg joined The Sports Bash on Wednesday to discuss the present and future for Jason Peters:
“He wants to continue his NFL career, theirs no doubt about that, he still thinks he can play another three full years. He’s quietly kind of hinted that he wants to come back to the Eagles, he hasn’t really come out and said it yet. I think the fact that Doug is his coach now, it was clear he wasn’t very happy with the way things were going under Chip Kelly, but under the new regime they’ve taken really good care of him this year....kept him reasonably healthy. I think the fact that they did all that, they went out of their way to make sure he stayed fresh the entire year, he appreciated that and that’s why I think he’ll want to come back.”
