What a Thursday for Philadelphia sports fans!! First, the Phillies got the day started by finishing off a sweep of the Colorado Rockies at Citizens Bank Park with a 7-1 win during the afternoon.  Phillies Ace Starter Zack Wheeler went Six innings without giving up a run to pick up his first win of the season.  With that victory, the Phillies even their record at 10-10 heading into the weekend three-game series with National League East rivals the New York Mets.

After 7pm the Sixers tipped off in Toronto for Game Six against the Raptors.  Losing the last two games to the Raptors, the Sixers needed to win or face down the ominous Game Seven back home in Philadelphia.  The Sixers started off sluggish and ended the first half up 62-61 even though James Harden at 12 Points and Eight Assists at Halftime.  In the third quarter, the Sixers came out hot, outscoring Toronto 37-17 thanks to a 17-0 run.  All five starters finished the game scoring double figures and as a team shot 58% from the field and 40% from the three-point line.

The NFL held the first round of their 2022 draft and Eagles fans had their clickers working as they waited to see what the Birds would do with the 15th and 18th overall picks.  Keeping one eye on the Sixers and one eye on the draft we saw the Sixers eliminate the Raptors 132-97 and then the Eagles move up to pick Georgia Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis.  Then Philadelphia makes a blockbuster trade with Tennessee to acquire Pro Bowl-caliber Wide Receiver A.J Brown.
