PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The World Health Organization officially labeled COVID-19, the so-called Coronavirus, a global pandemic on Wednesday. Meanwhile, YAHOO! Sports reported that the Eagles have temporarily pulled the coaching staff off the road for the various pro days across the country in preparation for the upcoming NFL Draft amid concerns over the virus.

There is certainly a concern at the NovaCare Complex over the virus, as there is in most quarters, and the Eagles coaching staff is currently not on the road but there are other factors that contributed to the decision on keeping the staff in South Philadelphia 973espn.com was told.

With free agency rapidly approaching and a host of new additions on the coaching staff, the organization made the decision that the coaches would be better served to stay put as both a sounding board for the pro personnel decisions that figure to come hot and heavy early next week, along with continuing the ongoing work of implementing scheme changes in advance of installing things for offseason work.

Many of the coaches will also be involved with the ongoing top-30 visits as well as the organization's local pro day.

The Eagles' scouts remain on the road and are attending the various pro days.
