While it's a little early in the offseason process, free agency opens on March 10 and the Draft isn't until April 24th, but teams are at the combine this week, which means GMs are talking.

One thing to keep an eye on, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, teams around the league think the Philadelphia Eagles want to be one of, if not the most aggressive team on the trade market.

"They will be looking for a pass rusher," Fowler said on Get Up Tuesday morning. "Josh Sweat could be out, the expectation is he will sign elsewhere. They will have a need there. Myles Garrett, they do not want to see him go to the Washington Commanders.  If that were to gain traction, Howie Roseman would likely step in and make a deal that is too hard for the Cleveland Browns to refuse."

At this point, as Fowler points out, the Browns still have no intention of moving Garrett, who requested a trade from the team back on Feb 3.

Here is what Browns GM said about Garrett on Tuesday at the NFL Combine

"If he were to become available, several teams would be in on that, maybe the Eagles would be one," Fowler added.

The one tough part would be what could the Eagles give up to obtain Garrett after he totaled 14 sacks and a career-high 22 TFLs last season in Cleveland.

Here is what ESPN's Bill Barnwell wrote at ESPN.com about an Eagles package to Cleveland for Garrett.

If it's the Eagles sending the No. 32 pick, there would need to be something more substantial as a second asset going Cleveland's way, especially given that their future picks in 2026 and 2027 are also likely to fall toward the bottom of rounds.

Keep in mind back on Feb 9, Garrett told ESPN’s Tedy Bruschi that he is “willing to do whatever it takes” to facilitate a trade with a Super Bowl contender, making Philadelphia a possible destination if he is moved this offseason.

The 29-year-old is under contract with the Browns through the 2026 season.
