According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, there are indications from a source with knowledge of the situation that a trade involving Phillies veteran right-hander A.J. Burnett is likely before the July 31 deadline.

The 37-year-old has the ability to reject trades to 21 teams, but he reportedly would be open to a return to Pittsburgh, where from 2012-2013 Burnett had a 3.41 ERA with the Pirates before signing with the Phillies this past offseason.

The right-hander now has a 3.89 ERA, a 1.34 WHIP, and a 85/47 K/BB ratio this season with the Phillies, he starts tonight against the Marlins in Miami.
