The Philadelphia Eagles have played the first three games in the month of December without two of their most valuable players, and somehow found a way to end a three-game losing streak then win their last two games.

Since All-Pro Right Tackle Lane Johnson sustained a Lisfranc injury, the Eagles are 2-3 without him over the last two week. Meanwhile, two-time Pro Bowl selection Jalen Carter missed the first three games of December after have a procedure on his Shoulders.

In the Eagles' win over the Washington Commanders, then locked in the NFC East division title for the second straight year but saw another important player get injured. Linebacker Nakobe Dean suffered a Hamstring Injury on December 20th, and earlier this week, Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said he didn't expect the 25-year-old Linebacker to be available to play this Sunday.

But The Eagles Are Not The Only Team Shorthanded For Sunday's Game In Buffalo

On Friday, Philadelphia release their official Injury Report for this Sunday's game against the Bills, which lists two starters as unavailable to play in the matchup of two Super Bowl contenders.

The good news is that Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter has no injury designation for Sunday's game against a Bills Offense that is averaging the third-most points per game in the NFL this season (28.9). Carter told the media this week that he is already feeling better after receiving shots into his Shoulders earlier this month. The 24-year-old Defensive Lineman has been deadling with Shoulder Issues off-and-on over the last three seasons.

The two starters ruled out for Sunday's game in Buffalo are Right Tackle Lane Johnson and Linebacker Nakobe Dean. Both players did not participate in any practices this week.

The two players who returned to practice on Friday are Wide Receiver AJ Brown and Left Guard Landon Dickerson. The three-time Second Team All-Pro Wide Receiver had his Wisdom Teeth removed earlier this week, while Philadelphia's Three-time Pro Bowler at Left Guard has recovered from what the team is calling an "Illness" earlier this week.

The Buffalo Bills are actually more banged up than the Eagles heading into their showdown on Sunday in Orchard Park. Buffalo has listed three starters as unavailable to play this weekend and two other rule players out as well.

Two starters on defense who are unavailable for the Bills this Sunday are Defensive Tackle DaQuan Jones and Safety Jordan Poyer. The 34-year-old Jones is dealing with a Calf Injury while former All-Pro Poyer will miss his sixth game this season after he suffered a Hamstring Injury.

Kicker Matt Prater will miss his second straight game with a Right Quadriceps Injury while Reserve Defensive Tackle Jordan Phillips was ruled out for Sunday's game with an Ankle Injury.

On Offense, Buffalo listed their top two Tight Ends as Questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Eagles. Dalton Kincaid, who has the most Touchdown Catches for the Bills this season (5), is dealing with a Knee Injury that kept him out of practice earlier this week and he has not played in four games this season. Meanwhile, Dawson Knox, a former Pro Bowl selection (2022) is also dealing with a Knee Injury this week.
