Eagles Open 21-Day Practice Window on a Pair of Players
The Philadelphia Eagles plan to designate a pair of players to return off injured reserve this week, opening the 21-day practice window on safety Sydney Brown and rookie wide receiver Ainias Smith.
Whether they are activated to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns remains to be seen.

Both players could have a role when they are ready to play with Brown a potential help on the defensive side of the ball that is lacking a playmaker so far. As a rookie, the 2023 third-round pick made 45 tackles (one for loss), one interception, and one forced fumble.
Smith, a fifth-round pick, has been out with an ankle injury but could help in the slot role that has been vacated thanks to a shoulder injury to Britian Covey. He caught eight passes for 43 yards on 11 targets in the preseason but was injured I the final game against Minnesota.
Smith, Brown and Johnson set to return against Browns
In addition to the two young players, the team is expected to have wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith back for their Week 6 game against Cleveland. Brown has been out with a hamstring issue and Smith missed the Week 4 loss in Tampa with a concussion.
Right tackle Lane Johnson is also expected back for the game.
