The Philadelphia Eagles entered their 2025 Training Camp with 12 Wide Receivers as they entered the month of August, preparing the the upcoming NFL season.

Everyone knows who the top three Wide Receivers on the Eagles' depth chart is (AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson), but there was a healthy competition for the final WR spots on the initial 53-man roster.

Even though Philadelphia entered Training Camp with two of the team's recent draft picks (Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson), along with two veteran receivers (Terrace Marshall Jr and Avery Williams), it was undrafted Free Agent Darius Cooper who earned himself a spot with the team this season.

Philadelphia Brings Back One of the Receivers Who Was In Training Camp

As the Eagles prepare for another primetime game, the team has decided to bring back a receiver with knowledge of the offense to their Practice Squad this week.

Ahead of their matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football, Philadelphia has re-sgined Terrace Marshall Jr. to their Practice Squad. The 25-year-old Wide Receiver was on the Eagles Practice Squad for two months before being released back on November 5th.

The 59th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Marshall gained notoriety as a member of the LSU Tigers team that won the National Championship with current Cincinati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow.

Marshall spent three seasons with the Carolina Panthers, but injuries and lack of production led to his release from the team that drafted him after the 2023 NFL season. The former LSU Receiver spent the 2024 season with the San Francisco 49ers, but only appeared in 7 games.

Philadelphia's depth at the Wide Receiver position is in a bit of flux after Xavier Gipson sustained a Shoulder Injury that prompted the team to promote Britain Covey from the Practice Squad to the 53-man roster.

The re-signing of Marshall could be a sign that Gipson will be unavailable for longer than previously expected. He is one of only three Wide Receivers on the Practice Squad, joining former Eagles draft pick Quez Watkins, and former SMU Wide Receiver Danny Gray.
