The Philadelphia 76ers made the injury news for No. overall pick Markelle Fultz official today, announcing that he is expected to miss the next three games to rest his shoulder.

If Fultz’ timeline were to indeed be just three games, that would bring him back on Nov 1 at home against the Hawks

It was announced yesterday that Fultz had a cortisone shot on Oct. 5 to relieve pain and inflammation in his right shoulder after first being reported that he had fluid drained from the shoulder.

Fultz was the No.1 overall pick and struggled with his shot, not taking jump-shots from the outside and looking awkward from the free-throw line. His numbers have indicated that he is not the player that the Sixers traded up from the No. 3 spot in the draft to the top spot.

So far this season, Fultz has averaged just 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists per game this season in just 18 minutes per game.
