Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts was knocked out of the game with a concussion in the first quarter. Kenny Pickett had to lead the Eagles offense throughout most of the game. Meanwhile, the defense lost Safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson when he was disqualified after receiving his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty early in the second half. Two of the Commanders fourth quarter touchdowns were thrown against Tristan McCollum who took CJGJ’s place.

The Eagles defense forced five turnovers but also allowed Jayden Daniels to throw five touchdown passes. Meanwhile, the Eagles turned it over twice when Kenny Pickett threw an interception and also had it stripped away on a sack.

The Eagles saw their ten game winning streak snapped. The loss also means they will have to wait until at least next week to clinch the division title. This loss also dealt a significant blow to their hopes for the top seed in the NFC.
