The Cape-Atlantic League Basketball playoffs tip-off tonight with some really interesting first round match-ups.

The winners of tonight's game will meet on Thursday night at Absegami, with the Cape-Atlantic League Finals set for Saturday at 2pm at Stockton University.

Here is a preview of all the first round games:

(8) St. Joseph (18-5) at (1) St. Augustine Prep (22-1) - This is a rematch of their first round matchup last season, won by St. Augustine, who is the defending champ. The Prep suffered their first loss of the season to national power St. Anthony's but showed they belonged.  Justyn Mutts had a monster game with 20 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks vs the Friars.  Jordan Herrin averages 15.2 points per game for St. Joe's, who has won 12 in a row.

(5) Holy Spirit (15-8) at (4) Middle Township (17-5) - The Panthers have exceed expectations, led by senior Tim Toney, who is averaging 16.6 points per game this season.  Holy Spirit is led by big man Tyler Jones, who scores 18.5 per game.

(6) Pleasantville (14-8) at (3) Wildwood Catholic (17-5) - A very interesting game, the two teams split their regular season match-ups, with each winning on his home floor.  This game will be in Wildwood Crest.  For the Crusaders, the top scoring team in the CAL, D.J. Smith averages 16 points per game. The Greyhounds average 68.2 points per game, third best in the CAL.

(7) Ocean City (16-6) at  (2) Atlantic City (19-3) - Atlantic City is a legit Group IV contender, but could have some issues with a good Ocean City team that has won six straight. The Vikings are led by senior Lamar Thomas, but their defense is their trademark, givign up just 48.1 points per game. Red Raiders senior Connor Laverty averages 17 points, fourth best in the CAL.
