Sixers rookie Nerlens Noel was outstanding in his first professional action on Saturday in the Orlando summer league, scoring 19 points with two boards, three assists, four steals and one block in 26 minutes of action.

He shot 6-of-11 from the field and made all seven attempts from the line.

"He had a couple of steals in the pick and roll coverage," Sixers assistant coach Lloyd Pierce said after the game. "That was one of the things that we talked about. He’s got great hands. We want him to be disciplined, we want him to be quick, we want him to be athletic. He’s got great quickness with his hands and his feet and he’s got great timing as a defender."

The 76ers will rest Nerlens Noel for today's summer league game vs. the Thunder (5pm, NBA TV).  The 76ers next game is on Tuesday, and Noel should be play in that one.
