Gannon, who won the award as a member of the Oakland Raiders, gave a shout out to Red Raider senior Gannon Brady on twitter after he knocked in the winning run with a two-out RBI double to advance to the group finals this Friday against Mainland.

In the game, Ocean City's Tommy Finnegan, a Vanderbilt commit, went seven innings with 10 strikeout, allowing just one hit.  As the game went to extra innings sophomore Duke McCarron, a Maryland commit, came on in relief and pitched four innings, striking out nine to earn the win.

Ocean City will face rival Mainland, a 3-2 winner over Moorestown, on Friday in the Group III Finals.

As for Brady, he is also a star for the Red Raiders on the basketball court, and is the two-time Cape-Atlantic League scoring champion.  This season as a senior, Brady scored his 1,000 career point and finished the season averaging 28.6 points per game, a Ocean City record.
