The Sixers got some bad news today as one of their top off season accusations; Nik Stauskas has been diagnosed with a right tibia stress reaction, and he miss at least two weeks.

However, this is an injury that has plagued other NBA players in the recent past including former Sixer point guard Jrue Holiday and Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

Coach Brett Brown said the Sixers will bring Stauskas along "slowly," meaning he'll almost certainly be limited to begin the year. This news is discouraging, Stauskas outside shooting ability was something to watch this preseason, now guys like Hollis Thompson and Jerami Grant could see more time, along with more looks from Robert Covington.

Some more injury news:

Nerlens Noel (hip) did not practice on Monday, but he is expected to play in Tuesday's preseason opener.

T.J. McConnell (left foot sprain) will not play in Tuesday's preseason contest.

Pierre Jackson (groin) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game.
