To be a Philadelphia sports fan can be very frustrating and the Philadelphia Eagles have really contributed to that frustration this year.  The team was predicted by many to win the weak NFC East and on paper they looked like the team to beat.  This year has been anything but predictable: Covid-19 Virus stymied the all NFL Offseason Training Camps, the NFL Draft was a virtual event and the players trained on their own for months.  Before the players even reported to Training Camp, we saw the cancellation of the NFL Preseason and the Eagles started their 2020 campaign with numerous injuries on Week One.  Opening the season with a loss to the Washington Football Team was bad enough and then things went downhill from there.  Carson Wentz is having the worst season of his career with an NFL-high 16 turnovers and has been sacked a league high 35 times.  With a 3-5-1 record, the Eagles still cling on to first place in the NFC East as they head to Cleveland to take on the 6-3 Browns.  Facing the Browns this Sunday starts the beginning of five game stretch against teams with a combined record of 32-13.

The Philadelphia 76ers are another Philly team that are equally frustrating!!  The Sixers acquired their new President of Basketball Operations last week, Daryl Morey, and he immediately made moves on Draft Night that will hopefully improve the team.  On Thursday the Sixers drafted 6-foot-3 Combo Guard Tyrese Maxey from Kentucky with their First Round selection at 21st overall.  The Sixers also dumped Al Horford's enormous contract along with trading Josh Richardson to add proven role players in three point sharpshooter Seth Curry and 3-time NBA Champion Danny Green.

On Saturday’s show “The Locker Room with Billy Schweim” we will look at the Eagles chances to win in Cleveland and review the 76ers moves this week.  We will also talk with former NBA Championship winning Head Coach Paul Westhead about  his new book “The Speed Game”, his career coaching basketball and his perspective on today’s NBA.

On Sunday don't miss our Eagles Pregame Show!!  Before the Eagles play the Browns in Cleveland, The Locker Room will get you ready for the game with Fox 29 Sports Anchor and 973ESPN.com Eagles Writer Scott Grayson who checks in each week to give you the latest up to date news on the Birds.  Then in our “Where Are They Now” segment, we will visit with the Eagles 1979 First Round Pick from UCLA, Linebacker Jerry Robinson.  Jerry played in Super Bowl XV with the 1980 Eagles team
