Phillies vs. Giants Finale: Nola Faces Mahle in Series Rubber Match
The Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants will finish up their three-game set on Wednesday at Oracle Park with Aaron Nola facing Tyler Mahle in the series finale.
Can the Phillies Snap the Oracle Park Series Jinx?
The Phillies are looking to win their first series at Oracle since May of 2013 and will send a familiar lineup to face the right-handed Mahle.
Mahle faced the Mets on Friday night, allowing five runs on eight hits over his five innings of work.
The Phillies will send their normal lineup against right-handers with Trea Turner leading off, followed by Kyle Schwarber, and Bryce Harper hitting third. After a one-game absence with groin tightness, Alec Bohm is back and hitting fourth, and Bryson Stott sat last night vs. lefty Robbie Ray; he returns to hit fifth. Adolis Garcia, Brandon Marsh, Rafael Marchán, and Justin Crawford round out the bottom of the order.
JT Realmuto Injury Update: X-Rays Return Negative
Marchán replaced JT Realmuto in Tuesday night's game after Realmuto took a foul ball off his foot. Realmuto got X-rays, which came back negative, which means after a day off tomorrow, he could be ready to play Friday when the Phillies open a three-game series with Arizona.
Nola makes his third start of the season, and is coming off a win in Colorado, allowing one run in 6,1 innings, striking out nine on Friday.
The Phillies take on the Giants with the first pitch set for 3:45.
