Brandon Marsh Lands on Injured List with Hamstring Strain

Philadelphia recalled outfielder Cal Stevenson from Triple-A Lehigh and placed Brandon Marsh on the injured list (retro to April 17) with a right hamstring strain.

Marsh's early-season struggles have been well documented. The outfielder is hitting .095 (4-for-42) with one homer and five RBI in 17 games.

Johan Rojas Stepping Up in Center Field

Cal Stevenson Recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley

Stevenson, a left-handed hitter, has reached base safely in each of his last 10 games since April 6, hitting .226 (7-31) with a .385 on-base percentage, three doubles, two RBI, eight walks, eight runs and four stolen bases in that span. Stevenson played in 18 with the Phillies in 2024, hitting .250 with no home runs, six RBI, and three doubles. Fans might remember the "Cal Stevenson" game on a Saturday afternoon against the Mets, where he had two big hits and made a tremendous catch in center field to preserve a win.

He will add a left-handed alternative to Rojas while Marsh is out.
