Report: Eagles CB Avonte Maddox Out Indefinitely with Toe Injury
The injuries continue to pile up for the Eagles as the season winds down.
First it was reported that right tackle Lane Johnson will miss at least the final two games of the regular season and now it's being reported that slot corner Avonte Maddox season could be done.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Maddox has a significant toe injury, that forced him to leave the game on Saturday in Dallas.
He is out indefinitely.
Maddox missed time earlier this season with a hamstring injury.
If he is out for a significant amount of time, expect Josiah Scott to serve as starting nickel corner at least against the Saints.
The team is hopeful to have safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson back and could potentially use him in the slot corner role, with Reed Blankenship remaining at safety.
