The Eagles search for a wide receiver opposite DeVonta Smith, could have them selecting another wide out in the first-round of the NFL Draft, or they could look to add one via a trade.
According to Jordan Schultz, the Eagles are among the teams that have inquired about Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
Cooks could be had in a trade, with a second-round pick the likely compensation to get him. Cooks is on the final year of his contract with a $16.2 million cap hit.
The Eagles do have an extra third-round pick thanks to their recent trade with the Saints, which could be used to offer the Texans for Cooks services.
He was the only receiving target in Houston and was still able to accumulate 90 catches for 1,037 yards and six scores in 16 games.
While he has moved around the league a lot, playing for four teams in eight NFL season, he is still just 28 years old and has six 1,000 yard seasons in eight years. Overall he has 7,917 yards on 573 catches and 48 touchdowns since being drafted in the first-round of the 2014 draft be New Orleans.
The 5-foot-10 wide receiver would give the Eagles a deep threat opposite Smith and allow Quez Watkins anfd Jalen Reagor to battle it out in the slot during training camp.
