A new potential buyer has emerged for the New York Mets.

Sixers billionaire Joshua Harris, who is is the co-founder of Apollo Global Management and also the majority owner of the NHL's New Jersey Devils, is among the suitors interested in buying the Mets, according to Variety.

Harris, 55, has been the principal owner of the 76ers since 2011, when he purchased the team for about $287 million. In 2013 he bought the  in 2013 he bought the Devils and the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ for $320 million, per reports.

In addition to Harris, who has an estimated net worth of $2.7 billion, David Blitzer is also a suitor for the Mets, per the Variety article.

Former baseball star Alex Rodriguez and his fiancé, Jennifer Lopez are also reported to have interest in buying the team.
