The Philadelphia 76ers have won eight straight games and could be getting some help soon.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, guard Tyrese Maxey could return to the lineup as soon as Friday in New Orleans.

Maxey has been out since a Nov. 18 win over the Bucks, with a broken foot and is expected to be on a minute restriction when he returns.

The biggest question might be, how he is used when he returns.

De'Anthony Melton has thrived with Maxey out, but will Melton return to the bench when Maxet return? That remains to be seen.

One possibility?

Maxey and Melton both start with P.J. Tucker heading to the bench. Doc Rivers hinted at that possibility on Christmas Day.

Melton and Shake Milton have both stepped up with Maxey out of the lineup and James Harden's return gave the team another ball handler.

Maxey is averaging 22.9 points per game, 4.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds this season.
