The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing former Eagles CB Sidney Jones to their practice squad, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus.

Jones was part of the cuts from the team on Saturday to trim the roster to 53.

The former second-round pick out of Washington was a major disappointment, dealing with injuries throughout his NFL career, including tearing his left Achilles’ at Washington’s Pro Day before the draft, dropping him out of the first-round of the draft.

Jones recorded two interceptions and 48 tackles in 22 games with the Eagles.

Cornerback Rasul Douglas was also waived with Jones on Saturday.  He signed with the Colts today.
