The Philadelphia 76ers looked sharp as they began the highly anticipated 2012-2013 season on Halloween night in South Philadelphia.Despite not having their biggest off-season acquisition, Andrew Bynum, in uniform for the opener, the Sixers played hard and started the season off on the right foot.

The Sixers other big man, Spencer Hawes, filled in for admirably, dropping 16 points, pulling 12 rebounds and blocking five shots to lead the 76ers to an 84-75 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.

The game also featured a return to Philly for Andre Iguodala, who spent 8 seasons with the Sixers before they shipped him to Denver in a three team deal that brought Andrew Bynum to Philly.
