Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports that when Sam Hinkie emailed his resignation letter on Wednesday to Sixers ownership, he included 12 majority and minority owners, and Jerry Colangelo.  Sources tell Wojnarowski that Hinkie suspects it was Colangelo who leaked the 13 page letter to the media.

Reports are that Hinkie never intended that letter to become public as he had planned to inform his staff Thursday morning when he expected the Sixers to hold a joint press conference to announce his resignation and a transfer of power.

Wojnarowski also reports Colangelo felt that Hinkie didn’t have the necessary people skills to run an NBA organization; he and Sixers' President Scott O'Neil believed Bryan Colangelo was the best candidate for the General Manager position moving forward.

Checkout what ESPN Insider NBA Analyst Kevin Pelton had to say on Thursday's The Sports Bash about Sam Hinkie's work in his short time in Philadelphia, how the Sixers are better off today than three years ago, and his thoughts on Jerry and Bryan Colangelo future running the show
