Best South Jersey Farmers Markets to Visit This Summer

The Garden State is home to many great Farmers' Markets, many of which pop up at the start of the busy summer season.

Farmers' markets are part of the fabric of the Jersey Shore, with local food trucks and vendors showing off their talents. Every weekend, locals and visitors of the shore make it a point to get out and get their produce, sample food, and maybe even walk away with a new piece of artwork for their beach house.

One Southern New Jersey Farmers market, The Burlington County Farmers Market, even received a national honor, as the No. 4 best farmers market in the county by USA Today's latest 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards poll.

However, one that didn't make the list, but gets rave reviews down the shore, is about to open this weekend in Brigantine, which was recognized by a different publication recently.

The Brigantine Farmers' Market is one of the area's best, featuring nearly 100 local vendors showcasing their food talents, with plenty of local crafters and artists displaying their talents, and so many other great novelties from local shops on hand at the Brigantine Community School parking lot, 301 Sheridan Place, Brigantine.

Brigantine Farmers Market Opens Memorial Day Weekend

The market runs every Saturday from Memorial Day Weekend until the weekend after Labor Day, from 8 am to noon, rain or shine, with vendors varying from week to week.

There is music from DJ Jack, and some new features for 2025 with veteran vendors, and the Dolphin Tank's Brigantine Young Entrepreneurs will be at every market this season.

Ventnor City Farmers Market Kicks Off May 23

Brigatine isn't the only farmers' market to visit during your stay at the shore.

The V entnor farmers market runs every Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon, from May 23 to Aug. 29. The event is entering its ninth season with over 70 food vendors and crafters located at the parking lot at St. James Church at 6415 Atlantic Ave in Ventnor.

Margate Farmers Market Returns in June

A few weeks later, the Margate Farmers Market with run each Thursday from June 12 - August 28, 8:30-11:30 am, at the corner of Monroe & Amherst in the parking lot of Steve & Cookie's By the Bay, 9700 Amherst Ave.
