The NCAA recently changed the eligibility rules for college basketball players allowing them to return to college without penalty if they find they would not be drafted by NBA where they would want to. Marcus Hayes of The Philadelphia Daily News says the 76ers' Jerami Grant is an example of a player who would've benefited from this new rule change:

Sixers forward Robert Covington was diagnosed with a right MCL sprain with a bone bruise in his knee and is expected to miss two weeks.
The timing of the injury is tough for a team already short on talent, and now Covington will not be ready to start the season, which begins on Wednesday in Boston.

With the NBA Draft in the books and free agency starting on Wednesday, Sixers GM Sam Hinkie said that the 76ers will be looking to add perimeter players to the roster during free agency and didn't rule out attempting to sign a player to a max deal.
