Three Phillies Are Finalists For 2024 MLB Silver Slugger Awards

Since 1980, the Silver Slugger Awards are given annually to the best hitters at each position for that season in the National and American Leagues. The winners are selected based on voting by Major League Managers and Coaches.

There have been 13 Phillies players who have been selected for the Silver Slugger Award over the last 44 years.  A list that includes Phillies greats such as Mike Schmidt, Darren Daulton, Chase Utley, and Jimmy Rollins.

Major League Baseball has announced the Finalists for the 2024 Silver Slugger Awards and three Phillies players are in the running for this year's awards.  The last time the Phillies had multiple players win Silver Sluggers Awards in one season is 2022 (JT Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber).

These Phillies Players Are 2024 Silver Slugger Award Finalists

First Baseman Bryce Harper
Harper has won the Silver Slugger Award three-times in his career (2023, 2021, 2015). The two-time National League MVP Award winner finished the season 8th in the NL with a .285 Batting Average and 4th best Slugging Percentage (..525).

Third Baseman Alec Bohm
Earning his first All-Star Selection in 2024, Bohm finished the season with the second-most Doubles in the National League (44) and 9th most RBI in the NL (97).

Catcher JT Realmuto
The 33-year-old Catcher has won the Silver Slugger Award three-times in the last six years (2022, 2019, 2018). Realmuto was tied for the sixth most Doubles among NL Catchers (18) and tied for sixth most RBI among NL Catchers (47).
