What-to-Watch: Sixers vs Heat, Game 3
Maybe the biggest question about Game 3 is, will Joel Embiid play.
The Sixers listed the big man as doubtful for tonight, via Twitter, but we'll still be keeping a close watch on his progress throughout the day.
Here are some things to watch for tonight's key Game 3:
- 76ers: 1-5 in road games against playoff teams without Embiid this regular season
- Ben Simmons (PHI): 24 points in Game 2; the only 76ers rookie with consecutive 20-point playoff games over the last 50 seasons is Andrew Toney in 1981
- Simmons: the only rookie with back-to-back 20-5-5 playoff games over the last 25 seasons is Dwyane Wade in 2004, who Simmons is facing
- Dwyane Wade (MIA): scored 28 points in Game 2; the most by a Heat player off the bench in a playoff game in franchise history
- Wade: no player in Heat history has had consecutive 20-point playoff games off the bench
- The Game 3 winner in a best-of-7 series tied 1-1 has gone on to win the series 73% of the time (playoff games database)
