Warriors assistant coach Mike Malone and Pacers associated coach Brian Shaw are high on the Sixers' wish list for their head coaching vacancy, sources tell Dei Lynam of CSN Philly.

According to Lynam, Malone's name was also on the list of "dark-horse candidates" when the team was looking to replace Eddie Jordan in 2010, they eventually hired Doug Collins for the position.  Shaw has been the associate coach job on Frank Vogel's staff after failing to land a head coaching job in 2011.  Previously he was an assistant to Phil Jackson and was thought to be the next Lakers coach, but that job went to Mike Brown, who was just hired for a second time in Cleveland.

Sixers assistant Michael Curry, who has the support of many Philadelphia players as well as Collins, is expected to interview for the club's head coaching position. Sixers players have spoken positively about Curry, who appears ready to become a head coach again after his unsuccessful stint leading the Pistons in 2008-09.  Sources have indicated that interest for Curry from other teams will be high.
